J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp. to Complete Reminiscent Project -- Bob's Twist & Shake, A New Concept
J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp. recently announced a new construction project that will boldly entice ice cream lovers, sweet tooths' and job seekers within the Southwest Florida area.

SARASOTA, FL, March 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp. recently announced a new construction project that will boldly entice ice cream lovers, sweet tooths' and job seekers within the Southwest Florida area. To be completed by April 1, 2010, will be the new Bob's Twist & Shake ice cream shop located at 420 U.S. 41 in Venice, between the existing Taco Bell and Arby's.

The retro ice cream and shake business will be a first time experience for owner, Robert Johnson. While conceptualizing the project, Johnson made the decision to commission local architects, engineers and contractors to design, build and landscape the project, particularly those located within the Venice area. Creating the company as a start up business, Johnson holds great visions of multiple locations in the future.

J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp. is a company that prides itself on the ability to complete quality construction work, while creating job opportunities and creating a positive economic impact upon the community at large. With the current construction project, and the staff to be hired by Johnson, an additional 15 jobs will be created.

Bob's Twist & Shake, located on By-Pass 41 in Venice, is a site previously occupied by a bank building that has remained a vacant parcel for quite some time. The project will pose a slight challenge to the construction crew, as they will have only 90 days to fully complete the family-oriented, past-time favorite, ice cream shop. Once completed, Bob's Twist & Shake will be an eye-catching building with a design that is completely unique to the area. The architect, Mark Beebe, of Beebe Design Studio Architects has designed a contemporary building, offering a pleasing retro aesthetic. The design incorporates a variety of exterior pedestrian spaces, including covered canopy seating as well as shaded outdoor garden seating to be landscaped with tropical plantings by Hazeltine nurseries of Venice.

Bob's Twist & Shake, a concept borrowed from a previous era will unmistakably be an iconic, contemporary version of a 60's drive-up ice cream stand. A 3-dimensional ice cream cone will be suspended from the building's U.S. 41 facade and there will be both a covered walk-up and drive-thru window. These features are sure to grab the attention of passers-by and invite customers to revel in the building's vintage feel. Breaking from the usual commercial project, Bob's Twist and Shake has already been an enjoyable experience for the design and construction team, and Johnson hopes it will be for his patrons as well.
